Hodge Avenue

Hodge Avenue The Three homes have been built to ensure easy access and mobility not just for the person with the disability but also for the people providing care and support in the home.

The homes are designed to reflect a warm sunny and homely atmosphere, there is nothing clinical about the decoré and despite being located close to one another, each will have their own outdoor area and privacy.

The homes are situated close to existing support services, with Panorama and the Aces Club all located on the same property. Residents will have access to Panorama's experienced staff who can offer a variety of supporting services such as in home support, meals, assisting with health care, therapy and respite. The resident may chose to join the Aces Club and become involved with skills based activities such as woodwork, gardening, craft, independent living skills and social and recreational activities.

Many families struggle with the idea of moving their family member with a disability out of the home but find that they are no longer able to do it alone. We hope that by providing the support when it's needed and allowing the family to enjoy the social and emotional bond they have within the family, we might keep the family unit intact.

The homes were officially opened on the 6th of June by the Minister for Health & Human Services, the Hon Lara Giddings.
