Group and Individual Supports
Multicap Tasmania is supporting community and social participation through a range of group and individual supports, tailored to suit your needs and goals.
Multicap Tasmania can assist you to get involved in your local community, to do the things you want to do and when you want to do them.
Our supports enable you to undertake the activities you wish to get involved in, either individually or as part of a group. If you have funding for group or individual funding, we can assist you to live the life you wish and to do the things that are important to you.
Multicap can support you to participate in any recreational pursuits you enjoy. We specialise in supporting people of all ages and disabilities and believe that anything is achievable. If you enjoy participating in group activities, Multicap runs regular activity sessions, camps, workshops and courses, often with other community groups.
You will find some of our favourite recreational activities listed below, however if you would prefer to enjoy an activity on your own, we can assist with that too. We are here to support you with whatever goal you want to achieve.
What things can I do?
We can support you undertake activities that are important to you. This might include:
Surfing, water skiing, snow skiing, abseiling, bowling, tennis, fishing, golf, sailing, scuba diving, kayaking or camping.
Enjoy visual, musical or performance arts; join a class and access training to assist you to build your range of techniques across various art forms.
A trip to the theatre or movies, enjoying a gallery, museum or art show, or visiting markets.
Gym sessions, fitness classes, team sports, swimming classes, or training for your fitness goal.
A day at the footy, the ballet, catching a live band, a festival, or maybe just a night out with friends.
Meditation, yoga, music, a health spa, or a day at the wineries.

Who can get supports to access the community?
We can help you access the community either as a group member or individually, based on funding from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or a fee-for-service model.
Can I get the supports when I need them?
Yes, you are in control of when you access supports and what you use them for. We can help tailor a support plan that meets your individual needs. This includes weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Multicap Tasmania operates many different and exciting programs all over the state! Some are only available in one location, we currently offer group activities on Saturdays, and social and fitness activities on weekday evenings, as well as specialty programs.
Some of our programs are created to allow our clients to pursue their passions and learn something new! Some are designed to take you on adventure and provide you with the opportunity to experience something you may have never tried. All our programs will encourage you to make friends, get to know some great people and will provide the support you need to achieve your goals.

Multicap Tasmania Community Hubs
Multicap Tasmania operates Day Services from locations in Wynyard, Burnie, Devonport and Launceston.
These facilities, which we call our Community Hubs, generally operate between 9am and 3pm on weekdays, but our Hubs also offer some programs that are on Saturdays or in the evenings.
In our Community Hubs, you can receive the support you require, meet new friends and get out in your local community, all while learning new skills.
Multicap Tasmania caters to many different needs and interests in a safe and supportive environment within our hubs and the local community.

Frequently asked questions
Who can attend a Multicap's Day Service or Community Hubs?
Anyone can attend a Community Hub that has a disability. This is usually funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding and may be fee-for-service.
Can I attend more than one Hub?
Yes, you may choose to change from one Hub to another, or you may choose to attend a number of different Hubs on a part-time basis.
When can I attend a Community Hub?
You can attend your chosen Hub for as many days a week as you like and choose the activities you like.
