Multicap Tasmania is a leading provider of Disability Support Services to a growing number of clients across Northern and North West Tasmania. Due to growth in the sector, we are always on the lookout for new staff who are wishing to work in a vibrant, and changing industry and help us provide quality support services to our client base.

We support a wide range of clients with varying disabilities, and require a dedicated and skill staff to ensure we can provide for the range of clients we support.

Our services operate around the clock, with our Supported Accommodation services operating at all times.

 

We also support a growing client base in the community, and increasingly those services are requested to be delivered at times that meet the needs of those clients.

 

We have established staffing complements in many areas of Tasmania, including Circular Head, Wynyard, Burnie, Devonport, Launceston and Hobart and each team will support the variety of clients and services in that region.

About the role

We are seeking to recruit a Team Leader – Community Access.

This position is responsible for coordinating a team of staff in the provision of high-quality client care in a community-access setting while also providing direct care assistance and support for clients.

Based in the Burnie region, you will establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, families and guardians, to enable enhanced independence, community participation and individual needs.

An appropriate certificate relevant to the work required to be performed and/or will have attained previous experience in a relevant industry, service or an equivalent level of expertise and experience to undertake the range of activities required

We will welcome your application if you have:
  • Previous experience working within the disability sector.

  • Knowledge of client centred planning approaches that lead to client goal achievements.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team to achieve high quality outcomes.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
