Friday’s Notes of Joy at the Panorama Musical Concert - People with Disability create joyous symphony

A Joyous Symphony: Friday’s Panorama Musical Concert Hits All the Right Notes

If you ever wanted to start your weekend with a dose of pure joy, the Panorama Musical Concert was just the place to be! Held on a bright Friday morning, this event was nothing short of magical. With an excited audience of family, friends, and staff, the performers—participants of Multicap Tasmania's Panorama program—put on a show that truly celebrated the power of music and connection.

The atmosphere was electric. Jess, with her infectious enthusiasm, led the charge, setting the tone for a morning full of heartwarming performances. Her bright spirit shone from the stage, and it’s no wonder she’s the star that inspires us all. And what’s a concert without a special birthday beat? Darren received his own rhythmic shout-out, which had everyone clapping along. The crowd couldn’t help but join in on the singalongs and impromptu dance sessions. Even those shy at first were soon swaying in their seats, proving that music truly brings us all together.

One of the event’s many highlights was watching Matthew joyfully shaking his ankle bells. The backup singers, Jess, Emma, and Bianca, were in perfect harmony—making sure to deliver those key words right when the moment called for it! Cameron, our comedic special guest, kept the audience laughing, showing that humour and music are the ultimate feel-good combination. It's incredibly inspiring to see People with Disability create a joyous symphony; what an inspiration to us all!

Our staff? Well, they didn’t just stand on the sidelines—they were right up there, showing off their musical flair. Helen Craige and Helen W worked their magic behind the scenes and on stage, creating a stunning backdrop and guiding the participants every step of the way. Wendy, Danielle, and Mark added their own touches to help make the performances truly pitch-perfect. It was a team effort all around, with everyone working together to bring out the best in each performer.

As Jess’s mother, Jenny Cox, said, "It was an absolute joy to be in the audience and see each of the performers finding their place to shine." Jessica was in heaven, surrounded by her favourite music, and the love and care put into this event didn’t go unnoticed.
